hi bloggers.....
Cognizant today indicated that it could add another 25,000 to its existing Indian headcount in the 2011 calendar year in keeping with the trend in the previous year.
“We are looking to hire as good as last year,” R. Chandrasekaran, president and managing director (global delivery) at Cognizant, said at the inauguration of the company’s Bantala facility.
In 2010, Cognizant added around 25,000 associates in India. It has over one lakh professionals working globally.
Meanwhile, the technology and consulting services provider will look at “a lot of investments in newer markets” to further globalise its business.
“While Europe has been growing faster than the company average, Cognizant’s new focus would be on markets in West Asia, Asean countries, Australia and Japan,” Chandrasekaran said.
At present, North America contributes 77.7 per cent to Cognizant’s revenue, while Europe has a share of 18.9 per cent. The rest of the world contributes 3.4 per cent.
